Many people have problems in their colon. One of them is diverticulitis, diverticulosis.
What that means is there's little crevices that are becoming scar tissue and wounds inside the
colon, eventually becoming an infection. So how does that even happen? One way it happens is you
have to have a bacteria, and that bacteria is normally streptococcus or E. coli. Even C. diff
can play a role sometimes. What these bugs do is they bury themselves inside the colon in different
areas and they nest and they eventually damage the tissue. And as that tissue is damaged, scar
tissue occurs. As that scar tissue occurs, little pits and endivots occur. And when that happens,
things get trapped in there and the bacteria loves to feed on what's being trapped in there,
eventually creating small infections over time, prompting all kinds of different gastritis and
other issues.
